Internal tooling behind the Zenly and Snap maps applications.

Zenly and Snap ran maps applications, and an internal team existed to build the tooling behind them. We joined that team at senior developer level in April 2022 and left in September.

The role was hybrid remote, based in Paris.

The team's remit spread across several systems: asset management for map assets and landmarks, 3D asset processing, a platform for artists to submit work, systems for approving assets, and CRM.

All of it was internal, so everybody using these tools worked at the company.

We worked on that team at senior developer level, building the internal tools that support the maps applications across the remit above.

The technology on the engagement was React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node, Express, Jest, Playwright, GitHub, MUI and Postgres. Our record lists those together rather than against individual systems, so this page does the same.

Our record names the team, the place, the systems in scope and the technology. It does not divide the work between the people on the team, so this page does not claim any one of those systems as ours alone.

There is no figure for the engagement, and nothing on the record says what happened to any of the tooling after September 2022.
