A regulated clinical pathway, and a storefront in forty countries.

Naturecan runs a high-volume e-commerce platform shipping to more than forty countries with localised, multi-currency storefronts, and it is standing up a UK medical cannabis service alongside it.

We are on both halves of this engagement. One side is the planning, architecture and development of the clinical service. The other is building and maintaining the e-commerce platform.

A medical cannabis service is a clinical system. Patient onboarding, the doctor consultation flow, prescribing and fulfilment all sit inside DSPT, GDPR and CQC guidelines, which shapes what the system is allowed to do at every step.

We took a lead role on planning, architecture and development of the clinical service: onboarding patients, orchestrating the doctor consultation flow, and carrying prescribing and fulfilment through in line with DSPT, GDPR and CQC guidelines.

React 19, TypeScript and Bun. Postgres, BullMQ and Redis. GCP on Cloud Run, Cloud SQL and Secret Manager, described in Terraform, shipped through Docker and GitHub Actions. Playwright and Storybook on the front end, with Klaviyo, AWS SES, Mollie and Megaventory integrated alongside.

On the commerce side we build and maintain features, where the same platform serves localised multi-currency storefronts across forty-plus countries.

This one is still running, so there is no finished state to report. What exists today is a regulated clinical pathway built under DSPT, GDPR and CQC guidelines, and a commerce platform trading in more than forty countries.
